Hello, my dear friend,

You asked me to write about my experience of living in New York city.  A long time ago, my flight landed at JFK. It was a very warm and sunny evening. My brother met me and my spouse at the airport and took us to see the east coast of the Atlantic Ocean on the way to his home. It was amazing to swim after 12 hours of flying and to see the sunset near the ocean.

I have been living in New York a little more than a year and a half since then. And I like this city very much. There are 3 things which surprised me in New York city. The first one is the traffic in the subway. Yes, there is heavy traffic in the subway. Very often, trains have to stop for some time to allow other trains to move. The second thing: New York is a cosmopolitan city. You can meet people from all over the world, you can speak to them, know their culture and their language. You don't need to go to any other country to try foreign food, to hear a new language and to know the habits of people from all over the world. The third thing is an awesome feeling, that gives you the combination of nature and city. I like Battery Park, where you can see the ocean, the Statue of Liberty and many boats, which take happy tourists to famous landmarks, or nice views of Manhattan in the evening from Brooklyn Bridge. It is difficult to describe in words these feelings which you feel, observing many lights from the cars, lights in the windows of skyscrapers and the ocean. It gives you a feeling of relaxation and peacefulness.

Moreover, there are many art exhibitions, museums, theaters, pubs, cafes, restaurants, gardens and parks in New York. You can visit many skyscraper rooftops with a beautiful view of the city. But the best time to visit them is at sunset or the time after sunset, because New York at night is especially amazing. It is possible to meet movie stars, singers or any other famous people on the streets of New York, but to shake their hand, it is more possible in Madame Tussauds' exhibition in the center of Times Square.

When you come to visit me, I will show you all of these and many other beautiful and interesting places like Central Park, the Metropolitan Opera House, the Museum of Modern Art, The High Line… I’m 100% sure that you will like New York!
