Greca coffee pot m Colombia 

An Italian coffee maker mostly made of aluminum, in Spanish we call it “Greca” and it’s indispensable in a Dominican kitchen. Although it might seem too simple, this homely object reminds me of home and means a lot to me. Moreover, a Greca brings me a lot of memories from my childhood. The aroma of fresh coffee used to wake me up every single morning when I was a kid and the taste is really amazing. You also have the option to choose from a variety of spices such as cinnamon, ginger, star anise, nutmeg etc. This would make your coffee just right for you. That machine is also an unusual reminder for me of how different my life is now. A coffee from a Greca was the only option in those days and it was good enough, but now I can choose from an organic cold or iced Pret’s coffee or a delicious caramel Frappuccino coffee from Starbucks.
